Dushanbe Tea House

1770 13th Street

The architecturally dazzling Persian tea house was a gift from Boulder’s sister city, Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Over several years, 40 Tajik artisans carved, painted, and constructed the Dushanbe Tea House in Dushanbe before disassembling it, packing it into 200 shipping containers, and sending it on the long journey by train, ship, and tractor-trailer to Boulder, where it was reassembled. Thank you, Tajikistan!
