New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, which means it is time to lock down some plans! The holiday season is often busy, so we created a list of parties to attend, games to play, and family friendly activities to give you some quick ideas for New Year’s fun. Take a deep breath, and sip your glass of wine or a seasonal mocktail because we’ve got you covered. 

Parties 

Party time! Here are our favorite parties in and around downtown Boulder. Hotel Boulderado puts on an incredible NYE party with a live DJ and a speakeasy-themed bar. DV8 Distillery is hosting a masquerade ball that will be an event to remember. Early bird tickets start at just $40! Finally, the St. Julien Hotel & Spa is offering five hours of fun live entertainment across three venues. Go big or go home! This event will include specialty cocktails, dancing, glamour, and a ball drop at midnight. 

Games

If you aren’t feeling the public scene, we recommend these games to play with some of your closest friends and family. Cards Against Humanity is a fantastic and inappropriate card game that will definitely make you laugh and let loose.  Apples to Apples is the family friendly version of Cards Against Humanity. Exploding kittens is another great card game that the whole family will enjoy. 

Family Activities 

The winter lights display on Pearl Street is magical and bright. Walk around beautiful Pearl Street Mall with the kiddos and sip on some hot chocolate to ring in the New Year in a peaceful and beautiful way. Take a winter hike to the star to see it up close and personal. Why not end the year connecting with nature?
