Can’t-Miss Events in Boulder This Fall

While it’s true Boulder blooms brightly during summer, it’s fall’s amber backdrop – and thousands of returning college kids – that rejuvenate the city’s spirit. With skies full of sunshine, the autumn air begins to cool sending Boulder’s festival season into full swing. Whether you call Colorado home or are just passing through, you’ll find Boulder alive with fresh, funky, artsy, fun things to do. From films to food; microbrews to margaritas; kiddos to candy and lots in between – here’s some can’t miss events in Boulder this fall – all but a hike or a bike away!

But first, to all the hard-working women and leisure-loving ladies who joined us at the first annual Girls’ Night Out along the 1300 block of Pearl Street, thank you! We loved seeing all the Boulder professionals, moms, daughters, and friends sipping, shopping, and strolling together.  We had such a great time giving out drink tickets and catching up with you and your girls from the office, the gym, your bestie and your child’s teacher. You all deserved a Girls’ Night Out with flowing cocktails, in-store special events, prizes and free tastings by over 30 downtown retailers. Office Partners on Pearl was proud to sponsor the event and can’t wait to have good time with the greatest gals we know again next year!

Like to watch movies? Enjoy the outdoors? The 3-day Boulder Adventure Film Festival immerses you in the best of both worlds! Beginning at the historic Boulder Theater, screen 30 independent adventure films. These spirited, groundbreaking movies will motivate you to make the most of Colorado’s beautiful surroundings. Next, break out of the theater and into the experience as you rock climb, mountain bike, hike, run, and walk the best trails Boulder has to offer. Then, catch your breath and get creative at a hands-on workshop feature cooking, photography, art, filmmaking, and virtual reality while listening to various global speakers. Finally, finish off the weekend with a 12-hour street fair running from 14th St to Spruce St to Lawry Lane.

Munchkin Masquerade
October 31 – Pearl Street Mall

With a decline in neighborhood trick or treating, pint-sized pirates and darling little dragons need an alternative to collect their candy. Fortunately, barrels of boos can be found every Halloween at the Munchkin Masquerade! Bring your princesses and robots, super-heroes and sports stars, fairies, doctors, ghosts and witches and parade them on Pearl Street. Downtown Boulder provides a not-so-scary substitute for knocking on doors with sweet treats and silly surprises for all.

Boulder may be known as the land of the laid-back; a quaint college-town with breathtaking views, but we also know how to party! Celebrate Boulder’s unique culture and mountainous flair by dropping by one of these can’t miss events this fall.
